Put on the Counting Crows.
My young friend told me to put on the Counting Crows for the drive home tonight. It was only a five minute drive, but she said it makes her happy to see how immersed and joyful I can get (even while singing about all that pain). I am so grateful to have CC as the soundtrack of my adulthood.

Paso Robles show
My great friend Jo surprised me with a ticket and hotel room for the July 24th show. Perfect, because the summer theatre festival I played a part in was due to end the 23rd. Whew! That was nearly a conflict. I couldn't wait to pack a bag and head west to the mid-state fair.

So we find the people down the street from you who are trying to do their part to help and we try and help THEM. Get involved with the idea of being involved people. After all, it's your town, your country, your world, and no one will ever make as much of a difference as you can just by waking up and being a part of it.
