Mourning Mom with the Counting Crows
R.I.P Mom (1947 - 2012)
My mother passed away last week after a long bout with cancer. We were very close and music played a central role in our relationship. It gave us a language to connect, ideas to share, and times to enjoy together.
The Counting Crows were one of her favorite groups (mine as well) and we spent the last few weeks in her hospital room listening to old and newer songs.…

1st 'blog' ever
Not really sure who will see this but I have a question.
Is life on the road really the place to be?
I guess just to be (regardless of where) is the key, but in which direction should the energy of your life really be focused.
The world is such a decaying place, well, the parts of the world I like anyway.
Just need a reason to be I suppose. Thing is the world is so overpopulated & the justification required to have a child is so I can watch on after my time…

"Hey! Guess what? Nothing! Stay tuned for something!"
which is, I think we can all admit, a little dopey so...I didn't send it. Thank you Mrs. Berger.
Instead, after only a brief but thrilling 5-day delay, I'm here to make it up to you. The album…

Discovering Counting Crows . . . again
Like most fans I can still remember the first time I hear Counting Crows; Shrek 2. My family bought the soundtrack after the film came out which featured the song Accidentally In Love which, consequently, I fell in love with.
For reasons beyond my understanding, I never tried to look up more of their songs. Right up until 7 years after first hearing them.
I was staying at my Girlfriend's flat, talking to her friend about music until about 3am. I told him that I was a big Bruce…

The GreyBird Foundation was established because we believe America is a dream in which the thoughts and needs of each and every person matter. Unfortunately, people feel small as the world expands and they forget that they ARE America.
So we find the people down the street from you who are trying to do their part to help and we try and help THEM. Get involved with the idea of being involved people. After all, it's your town, your country, your world, and no one will ever make as much of a difference as you can just by waking up and being a part of it.
