We had a great time Sunday! I took my boyfriend[Michael Medina] out for a day of Surprises…a “just because” kind of a thing. :) I had my reasons for putting together this day… mainly though… it was just something I really wanted to do for him.

Surprise #1 was lunch at his one of his favorite places… AMBER[indian food] I was  a bit hesitant to take him there only because I thought I didn’t like Indian food, but I knew he would love it and so I thought to myself to just do it and force myself to eat the food. Oh but I was wrong, it was AMAZING!! It was the brunch buffet and I literally took a little of everything! My plate was full and looked so tasty! Everything on my plate was SO GOOD!! He was excited to eat there when I told him where we were going, oh the Joy on his face when we sat down to eat our food… haha! Priceless!

Surprise #2 was his Chewbacca “buddy backpack” … haha! He LOVED IT! And immediately went into Star Wars action mode when I took a picture of him with it. He jumped on the back of my car and had a look of adventure all over him! :)

Mini surprise #3 was an M&M star wars candy holder thing that was also a fan… I thought it was going to be hot where we were headed… so it seem appropriate.

Surprise #4 was a trip to Paso Robles to see one of his all time favorite bands, Counting Crows! :) I broke it to him w/a card. Except inside I told him it was to see Tim McGraw! HAHA, then I had him open this lil book thing, where I had the tickets, to check the seating… that’s when he saw it was for counting crows and got all sorts of happy!! HAHA!

The trip was only 2.5hrs long. We made it in time to walk around the fair a bit[concert was at Mid-State Fair] go on some rides[where I beat him at a staring contest on one of the rides], we played a game…ok he beat me!! but he won me a bear :)[score!!] and we had some time to grub a dub dub.

Concert began and they were AMAZING…the highlight was most definitely “Around Here”… never knew much about their music until Medina, and man when his band [Adventure Book] covers that song… always makes me wanna cry! So hearing THEM sing it… LIVE… so amazing…. my goodness! I couldn't believe I just heard it live! by the Counting Crows!! Incredible! what and incredible band!! Medina was smiling and singing every song the whole time! He was so excited to see them!

After the concert we walked around and ate some more food, went on more rides,which by the way, he ended up tearing his shorts at one point! haha! We were in line to get on the Ferris Wheel and then realized we were 2 tickets shy from what was needed. So he got out of line to get buy 2 more tickets, upon his return he squatted to go under some chains to get back in line.. and ::rip:: down the front center of his shorts! haha! it was so funny, I wish I was there! I had left to throw something away, when I returned he was laughing and holding is chewbacca backpack in-front of him "we have to go after this ride! after this ride we're leaving!!" haha! I laughed so hard when he told me what happened. We didn't leave right after though, We walked around some more and looked at things being sold, took pictures in a photo booth and even danced to country music…ok well we tried! haha! He just made his backpack his frontpack for the rest of the evening :) haha!

It was a great day! We had so much fun!! My gosh that guy makes me laugh! haha! It was good to be able to spend the whole day together and not in San Jose :) it was good to just be away and be somewhere new to explore together! The day was perfect and just what he needed and deserved… a day just for him where he didn’t have to do anything but enjoy the day that was set up especially for him…

he’s amazing, I love him massively.
