Just a quick story that I thought you might want to hear.  My kids and I had been planning a trip this summer to celebrate my oldest son's graduation from high school.  We wanted to go on a "summer tour" and go see artists/groups at concerts across America.  We started the list a year ago and each person (there is 4 of us) would add to the "wish list" as the year progressed, and groups would be voted in or out based on the collective opinion.  The Counting Crows made it to the top of the list first, but we could not find anywhere that you were touring, and we could see everyone else in either Philly or Pittsburgh, so the idea went in the scap pile, and my oldest and I decided to grab 2 backpacks and tour Europe for a month on a shoe string budget, using couchsurfing.  It was a wonderful experience, and imagine our suprise and joy when we got home and realized that you are touring the US!  We will so be there in Pittsburgh.  You see, my Husband (my 3 kids Dad) died in 2005 and your music has been somehthing that has helped us through the tough times.  So, if you ever wonder if your music is still relevant, you can just take a look into the crowd and you will see the 4 of us:  me - 42 yrs, Elijah - 18 yrs, Seth 15 yrs and Emma- 13 yrs. - singing right along with our eyes closed.  The pain in your songs has given us relief and the joy has lifted us when we needed it.  Thank you for that.  Enjoy your tour!  ~Jacque Herman
