Hey people,

I almost posted this last week to tell you that we are no longer on vacation and lots of cool things are coming up very soon...but then Berger's Mom pointed out that I was basically saying

"Hey! Guess what? Nothing! Stay tuned for something!"

which is, I think we can all admit, a little dopey so...I didn't send it. Thank you Mrs. Berger.

Instead, after only a brief but thrilling 5-day delay, I'm here to make it up to you. The album art contest was a huge success for Creative Allies with more than a thousand entries, the most they've ever received. It's an even bigger success for us since we got our album cover from it. I'm going to show it to you but before I do, I just want to thank all of the artists, especially Martin Bedford, Chris Ray, Susan Sullivan, Rudy Martinez, Alessandro Nazzani, & Frank Germano who put in so much extra time doing revisions for us.

Sooooooo...here's the cover and the songs and (to make up for the 5-day delay) here's a free download of "Mercy". Dig all that and I promise you we'll be right back real soon with more cool stuff (like when we're coming to see YOU!)

Underwater Sunshine track listing:

  1. Untitled (Love Song) by Romany Rye

  2. Start Again by Teenage Fanclub

  3. Hospital by Coby Brown

  4. Mercy by Tender Mercies

  5. Meet On The Ledge by Fairport Convention

  6. Like Teenage Gravity by Kasey Anderson & The Honkies

  7. Amie by Pure Prairie League

  8. Coming Around by Travis

  9. Ooh La La by The Faces

  10. All My Failures by Dawes

  11. Return of the Grevious Angel by Gram Parsons

  12. Four White Stallions by Tender Mercies

  13. Jumping Jesus by Sordid Humor

  14. You Ain’t Going Nowhere by Bob Dylan

  15. The Ballad of El Goodo by Big Star

...

Or...I could already be back because I forgot to tell you to get into the Covers Submissions on http://bit.ly/zAvN9Z. We recorded songs for this album by many of our fave indie musicians. Now we wanna hear all of you cover your fave CC tunes. If you can play, send one in; if you're a fan, just check it out and have fun. Either way, it's happening at http://bit.ly/zAvN9Z

Running into some issues with download. Link from confirmation email sends me to the Config Setup Page for the download. Strange stuff. Clicking on the direct link on that page does bring up a pop up on the CC site, but clicking "Download" causes an error.

Adam,  you forgot to put the Disclaimer for the album cover

*Do not attempt this at home.  Submerging a light fixture headed person in water can lead to serious inury or death.

David-even better-i was sitting in McDonald's soaking up free WiFi when I saw the cover...thinking...hot coffee is hot...as intended...no litigation necessary ...same applies here...art is art, as intended. But probably a great idea to take care of the disclaiming before the idiots start litigating...well, I was drinking my semi-lukewarm coffee from McD's & decided to stick my lightbulb head into the ocean b/c adam said so...loud & clear...via the new cover

Counting Crows On Tour

The GreyBird Foundation was established because we believe America is a dream in which the thoughts and needs of each and every person matter. Unfortunately, people feel small as the world expands and they forget that they ARE America.

So we find the people down the street from you who are trying to do their part to help and we try and help THEM. Get involved with the idea of being involved people. After all, it's your town, your country, your world, and no one will ever make as much of a difference as you can just by waking up and being a part of it.
