So now that I know the concert in Bend, Oregon will be all ages (yay) I am buying the tickets and renting a car. I'll be driving down from Portland, Oregon. I just saw Counting Crows in April but you guys know - once is not enough !!! The April show in Portland was just a little bit uptight at first but later Adm said he was HAPPY. He made us all happy too. He was so cool when he came out to hang with us outside the concert hall. How can I describe the feeling of waiting for hours to meet someone you idolize, and really having fun just talking with other fans and sharing information and talking about the songs etc. Then all of a sudden someone says he is coming! Is he really coming? Then through the dimly lit gate you can see a tall figure with varied protusions of brown shags coming out of his head. So., So exciting !!! Then the security guard opens the gate to let him come near us and these girls yell out" here Adam here" "Come over here we're really pretty" So that is the first stop Adam makes but only because that was the first gate the security officer opened. Adam is not into the screaming teeny bopper scene as much as he is into talking with his fans and listening to what they have to say about music. He signed autographs and posed for pictures with everyone! And he didn't try to rush it either. Before going back in he asked "Did I get everyone? We had so much LOVE for him that night!
The GreyBird Foundation was established because we believe America is a dream in which the thoughts and needs of each and every person matter. Unfortunately, people feel small as the world expands and they forget that they ARE America.
So we find the people down the street from you who are trying to do their part to help and we try and help THEM. Get involved with the idea of being involved people. After all, it's your town, your country, your world, and no one will ever make as much of a difference as you can just by waking up and being a part of it.
