Counting Crows Brings the Music Back to the Fans!

Counting Crows has dedicated itself to bringing the music back to the fans this year. First came the free downloads of "1492" and "When I Dream of Michelangelo". Then came the unprecedented release of video footage to make your own video.

Now, we're giving you the opportunity to download quality live soundboard recordings. Counting Crows is excited to bring you Livecountingcrows.com. And to celebrate, we're giving a FREE SHOW to the first 10,000 fans. The show was taped from the beginning of our summer tour in Charlotte, NC on July 28th.

What exactly is Livecountingcrows.com? Well, its a place to download and purchase shows, but its so much more than that. Its your new resource for the entire live concert experience. While you're looking through our show catalog, you'll be able to post your review of a show, make a compilation of your favorite songs and even buy gift certificates for your family and friends.

Livecountingcrows.com is designed with both the serious collector and new fan alike. Each show is available in FLAC files for those of you who want the ultimate in audio quality, and MP3 for those of you who want easy files that you can listen to from the moment you download the files. All downloads come with CD booklet and labels for you to print in the comfort of your own home. For those of you who want us to do all the work, you can purchase a CD option which will send the disc, complete with artwork right to your doorstep.

What shows will be available? Every show from July 28, 2008 forward will be available on livecountingcrows.com. Most shows will be up within 72 hours of the show. In addition, we'll be releasing shows from our archives periodically throughout the year. Make sure to sign up for our mailing list so you'll be the first to know when we release shows.

So why are you still reading this? Head over to download the very first FREE show we're releasing. The setlist is incredible. Listen to the new songs off of "Saturday Nights and Sunday Mornings" played live as well as your old favorites like "Up All Night" and "Rain King". Counting Crows were the first band in the O2 Wireless Festival’s 4-year history to perform in front of a sell-out crowd in London’s Hyde Park and now they're returning on an extensive UK Tour starting December 2nd. Tickets go on sale starting July 25th at 9:00am through Livenation.co.uk for these special shows with Ben Folds and Melee.

Design our Summer Tour Poster

To celebrate the launch of Counting Crows Summer Tour we are calling all Counting Crows fans and artists to help create our summer tour poster! One lucky winner will have their poster design printed and sold on tour. They will also received a copy of their poster signed by the band!

Entrants will create and submit an original tour poster design that captures the sound and energy of Counting Crows. You must submit your entry by July 1st, 2008. There are a few rules to follow
1) The poster must be 18"x24" portrait or landscape.
2) Your artwork must be at least 300 DPI and be transmitted through the internet
3) Any graphic elements you use cannot be copyrighted.

So send us your entries to winner@countingcrows.com. Files will be accepted as jpeg or gif and must be less than 10MB in size. Winners are expected to send their files in PSD, AI, PS or EPS format. Don't forget to send us your name and email address. Happy designing!

Counting Crows along with "Good Morning America" is pleased to announce a special concert as part of the 2008 Summer Concert Series line up. Counting Crows will be playing this Friday, May 23rd .

The concert will be free and open to the public at New York City's Bryant Park.

Bryant Park is located in midtown Manhattan, right behind the New York Public Library, between 40th and 42nd Streets, and Fifth and Sixth Avenues. Click here for more information.

Viewers interested in attending a free live performance should arrive at the park or studio no later than 7 a.m.

Tickets purchased via phone or internet will have their account automatically credited. Tickets purchased at an outlet or box office can be refunded at the original point of purchase.
